"I'm obsessed with dirt bikes."

Thanks to Aunt Neva and Uncle Mike, Luke is now obsessed with dirt bikes and he will tell you that. They took him to see races a few weeks ago. Since then, Luke now reads (well, looks at the pictures) a dirt bike magazine while he poops and sleeps with toy dirt bikes. Last night at the fair, Luke and Craig went to watch the dirt bike races.
Luke has to have earplugs.
Uncle Wedgie (AKA Uncle Darrell) was also there.

Cleveland Zoo

We visited the Cleveland Zoo on Monday. Grandma and Mallory looking at the butterflies.
We went to see this dino exhibit. It was cute.

Happy Birthday Jackson

Luke's friend, Jackson, had his 3rd birthday party last Saturday at his grandparent's cabin on Leesville Lake. Luke and Mallory had a wonderful time running around and playing! Mallory pinning the party hat on the fish.

Luke caught a huge fish!!!! And seconds after this picture was taken, the fish fell off the line, the line bounced up in the air, Luke tried to grab the line, and you probably know what happened then. He was hooked! After a little bit of blood and some tears, he was fine.

3 years already?

Luke is now 3 and the past years have flown by! We often ask ourselves what we did with all of our free time before Luke? I really don't know. Here are some pictures of our little man throughout the years. July 10, 2006

Quite the physique!
Bad Luke!!!!
Luke's birthday party last evening. He got some really cool gifts and had a fun time.
Uncle Kyle's gift accompanied Luke to bed last night.

Topsail Island

We recently spent a week on Topsail Island in North Carolina. It was a lot of fun! Craig's parents and brother met us there and we stayed in a house on the beach that was awesome! We started the trip early on Friday July 3 and made it to Raleigh, NC where Craig's friends from college live. Mike and Salena took good care of us for a night. They fed us very well so we were sad to leave Saturday afternoon. :)
We gave Luke a new set of goggles to use at the beach, but he had to wear them during a lot of the trip. He even had them fogged up in the car.

Grandma Peggy and Luke making his birthday cake.

Luke was very afraid of the ocean. He cried and clung to us anytime we got close to the water. We thought letting him ride his bike on the beach might help calm him down. Can you tell he was screaming and crying in this picture? So much for that idea.

Luke hated the ocean, but he loved the little pools the tide changes would leave behind.

Opening presents on Luke's birthday.

Allison, Caitlyn, James, Peyton, and Brooke came to visit for an afternoon. This is the best picture I could get of all the little ones on the beach. There was just too much going on.

This picture was much better of all the kids. James is MIA though.

We didn't see any sharks this big, but we did see a fisherman catch a shark from our deck. He was fishing on the beach too, not in a boat!!! It was just a baby...about 3 feet long!!!

Craig and Mallory waiving from our bedroom. We slept in the loft that overlooked our living room, but more importantly the ocean. It was really cool to keep the windows open and fall asleep as well as wake up to the ocean.....or a crying kid.

Headed to the beach!
We went crab hunting a few nights and here is just one of our finds. They are so cute!

Mickey Cheese's

Darrell is not only good for home improvements, but he comes up with great ideas, like going to Chuck E Cheese's on a rainy day. We would like to think he wanted to go for the kids, but I'm pretty sure he had just as much fun (if not more) than they did. Luke did not like the mouse! He called him Mickey Mouse, The Cheese, and Mickey Cheese. Mikala, Mallory, Luke, Ellie, and Emma
Mikala won all of these tickets (259) from one game of skee ball. They just kept coming and coming out of the machine. It was fun watching her try to collect and neatly fold them as they were coming out. You can tell she gave up.

There's something wrong with this picture.
