Products of the 80's

I'm a nerd and like to dress up for Halloween. Last year I wanted to dress up for school, but we weren't allowed. We came up with a way around it. We decided to do an 80's unit and teach our 8th graders all about life in the 80's. All the teachers teach something about the 80's that pertains to their subject area. For example, in math we made scale models of My little Ponies and other fun 80's toys. So, the great teachers that we are ;), we dress the part too! It took a lot of trips to the Goodwill to perfect this outfit. I love it.

Happy Halloween

The last week has been full of Halloween Fun. This is one of our favorite times of the year (Next to Christmas). It's been fun doing things with Luke and Mallory. I know their costumes aren't really costumes, but I thought it was clever. Craig informed me that it was stupid, but I had fun finding them suits and decorating the wagon. Luke was John McCain and Mallory was Barack Obama. They got second place at the Grange Halloween Party in Robertsville (There were only 3 kids in their category though). Luke's wig kind of fell apart. The other side of the wagon had a McCain sign, thanks to Mike and Dana.

We got to BYOP to Church last week and decorate.
Uncle Mike is really into this.

These Pictures are of Luke decorating caramel apples and Auntie and Uncle Jimmy's house. He threw up about 3 hours after this from eating all of the gummy worms, m&m's, candy corn, and gummy bears that were supposed to go on the apples.

Luke's New Pose

This is how Luke poses for pictures now. Everytime we get the camera out and try to take a picture he hides his face.

Bath time

We're lucky that Mallory loves to get a bath. Now that she can sit up, they can take a bath together. It saves on water and they have fun.

Happy Birthday

Luke, Mallory, and Daddy were so thoughtful for my b-day! I got an awesome blizzard cake from DQ as well as the Hip Hop Abs workout DVD. An ironic combination. I love my family!!!

Algonquin Mill Fall Festival

We took Luke and Mallory to the Mill Festival last weekend. Our Aunt Diane was spinning there. They had fun, but were pooped by the end of the day. Aunt Diane
It was a long afternoon!

Miscellaneous Mallory

Mallory is getting more and more fun. She is interacting with Luke more and more. She is battling a cold right now, but is still happy through all the coughing and her nose constantly running.

Go Buckeyes!
