Family Christmas Fun

I've been trying since Christmas to get these videos on this blog. I still can't figure out how to do it properly, so maybe posting the links will work. If anyone can help me out, I would greatly appreciate it. Anyway, they are really funny. This is how our family celebrates Christmas. Normal families sing carols around the piano while sipping hot chocolate or cider. Not us!! We play a very competitive trivia game that involve 'stunts' as Uncle Jim likes to call them. The following are a few of the stunts performed for points during the game.

This video is Craig trying to shoot a marshmallow into a bowl. Even though he didn't get the marshmallow in the bowl his team (Mike, Michaela, and Kelly) still won!

This is Kyle peeling a banana with his foot. He must be part monkey. That explains a lot!!! :)

This is Bryce trying to squeeze a mouthful of banana out of his mouth and through pantyhose. Yuck!!

The Gingerbread Baby

One of Luke's favorite books right now is The Gingerbread Baby. Even though, it's not one of our favorites to read (probably because we have read it so many times) we thought it would be fun to make a gingerbread house. So, we took the easy way out and bought a kit. I would recommend it! It worked great and didn't take long at all (his attention span is about 2 minutes, so we did it in stages). It went together well and so far is still standing. Luke loved it. He keeps saying look what me and Luke made!

The End!

Finally!!!

The third time was the charm. Luke sat on Santa's lap! His babysitter, Diane, has Santa at her house and she got Luke to sit on his lap. Luke wasn't happy about it, but he went on his own.

All the kids from Diane's.

MMMMMMMM

Luke and I made reindeer cookies for his Christmas party at Diane's house. He did a good job sticking the pretzels and M&Ms on. They turned out cute!

This is Luke's smile!!!

Rolling

Mallory is trying so hard to crawl, but she just hasn't got it yet. She rolls everywhere and her favorite place to get stuck is under the kitchen table.

9 Months

Mallory is officially 9 months (on November 29). She is now rolling everywhere, but not crawling yet. She is happy and really likes playing with Luke. He still is stealing every toy she plays with and he enjoys rolling her around the house as she giggles.

A Night at the Museum

We went to the McKinley Museum last Friday to visit with Santa. Mallory didn't mind Santa, however Luke did. We tried to prepare Luke for Santa and he seemed to be excited, until it was his turn. Then it all went down hill.
This was the closest Luke would get to Santa.

Luke wouldn't even get close to Ellie the reindeer, even though he called it a horsey all night and wanted to see him/her.

Thanks for the cute leopard outfit cousing Emma. All they guys thought it was cute!

Chomp Chomp!

Mallory is getting a mouthful of teeth. She has the fever and diaper rash to go with her new teeth. I liked this picture because you can see her teeth so well.

Merry Christmas

We spent our Thanksgiving vacation decorating for the holidays. It has been fun this year, becuase Luke gets excited. We love our decorations!! Here are some pictures of our cool stuff! Craig's Ohio State Christmas village.

We had to make a new stocking this year for Mallory. Poor Rocky...he always gets bumped.

This is Craig's favorite...The Campbell's Soup Tree. He loves Campbell's Soup 'junk'. (I don't know how to type sarcastically, but I am)

Luke helped put lights on the tree, while wearing Mallory's hat.
Here are some of my favorite ornaments.
Julie- I made an ornament out of the wood from our Lutherlyn trip.
Liza-Hopefully you'll see this. I found this sand dollar with Liza in Charleston.
On the left, Luke's first ornament. He made them for everyone in 2006. On the right, an ornament Craig made. He hates it, but I love it. I insist on putting it in the front so everyone can see it.
Another one of Craig's handmade ornaments. We think it's from first grade, 1983.
This bulb says baby's first Christmas, 1981. It was mine.
One of the many handpainted ornaments from our Grandmas. This one painted by Grandma Nellie.
We now have 3 nativity scenes. The one on the left was painted by Grandma Nellie. Rocky likes to pick up the pieces and hide them. The middle one is Luke's and the one on the right is a soft navity for Mallory.

Here is the final product.

The Frozen Tundra of Community Field, Carrollton, Ohio

Turkey Bowl Three

We held the third annual Turkey Bowl this morning at Community Field. This was our largest turn out yet. We had four teams. Playing in the snow was actually a plus. It helped make the falls softer. There were no serious injuries to any of the old folks, so it was a successful and fun event. Aunt Elaine and Uncle Jim hosted the post game Breakfast.

We even had spectators. Grandpa Amos is standing at the top of the hill with Kyle and Grandma Amos is making her way up the hill on the right.

We are getting official. Aunt Neva and Uncle Mike made yard markers so we could correctly measure out 10 yards to help keep better track of first downs.
