They Pulled Blood Out of Me

Luke went for his allergy check-up last Wednesday. It consisted of the doctor ordering blood to be drawn and an enlightening conversation about how humans do not necessarily need milk. It causes more problems than it does good! We have no results at this time, but we'll find out his dairy and peanut 'levels' in about a week. It was funfilled day at Akron Children's Hospital.

You can get the best strawberry smoothies on a little cart inside the lobby. It's a tradition to get one each time Mallory goes to her cardiologist, so why not with Luke too? He loved it.

Playing on the play ground.

As Luke said, "I had blood pulled out of me." He cringed all day whenever you would touch any part of his arm. He loved the bee bandaid though!

Amos Easter 2010

One of the most fun holidays of the year is Easter for us. It's highly competitive (at least from my point of view). The younger kids do the traditional egg hunt, but us older kids...wait...some of us are adults, but Auntie lets us play to keep us young, participate in some type of humiliating task. This year was no exception. We were in teams of 4 and had a list of 60 items to bring back to the house in 45 minutes. The items on the list ranged from Tampons to a red shoe lace. Some required signatures from local businesses and others required pictures. Here are some pictures from the day. Let me say my team came in 2nd only because my husband's team beat us back to the house. We now have a broken van door from getting in and out of it so quickly while we were running around Carrollton like maniacs, but it was worth it. Thanks for the great memories, Auntie.

We as in I thought making matching t-shirts would help us win AGAIN this year.

Dear Easter Bunny

Dear Easter Bunny,
Thank you for a wonderful weather weekend. That made the egg hunts fun. Thank you for my basket and all of the candy filled eggs. I enjoyed the gifts in the basket, but I do not enjoy you. I hope you understand your large ears and pale skin scare me. Even a Chocolate sucker won't help! Maybe next year I will warm up to you like my brother Luke has.
Sincerely,
Mallory

Cabella's Visit

Thanks to a suggestion from a co-worker, we decided to take a day trip to West Virginia and see what Cabella's is all about. We bought nothing...sat in all the chairs, crawled in every tent, and touched anything we could. Grandpa Eddy had the day off and came with us. We had a great time.

The perfect end to the day...Chocolate covered strawberries from the strategically placed Russell Stover's shop near Cabella's.
