Snow Days are Great!

Today was our second snow day in a row. Craig and I had yesterday off, but he had to go back today!! That's what he gets for working in a city school. We are really grateful for snow days!! They are unexpected fun. We visited with Toby, Ollie, Wyley, and Colby today, made some cookies, took naps, and made a mess of the house. Making Oatmeal M&M cookies. YUM!!
Mallory wanted to see what Luke was looking at.

Happy Birthday Grandma

Grandma Renee's birthday was last week. She brought us dinner for her birthday. I like that idea!!! Luke and Mallory helped her blow out her candle.

Luke Update

Here are some recent pictures of our little prince. We had two snow days a few weeks ago. Luke loves pumpkin rolls, so we made some to put in the freezer. He also loves to help cook, so he had a good time helping out. He runs a mixer quite well. :)
He constantly wanted to lick the beater. He finally got to enjoy them after we made the filling.

This is Luke sleeping with a hat on. I don't know why, he just likes to take something different to bed everynight and the hat just happened to be the last thing he saw before bedtime.

Look at those muscles!!

Mallory Update

Here are some recent pictures of our little princess. She can pull herself up now. No walking yet, just a lot of standing.

She is eating more and more people food. She loves cheesey poofs, potatoes, and ice cream.

Snow Much Fun!!

We got our fist major snow this weekend. Last year Luke enjoyed the snow, but this year he got a sled for Christmas, so we thought it would be a lot of fun. Getting bundled up.

The first thing he said was, "Mommy, it's hard to walk." He was the little brother from a Christmas story!!

After about 32 seconds flat, he informed us he had to pee. So, he peed in the garage drain rather than going inside and taking everything off. Yes, we are hillbillies!

Since there are no hills in Ohio Luke had to settle for his Dad pulling him around the yard. Yes, his Dad did dump him out once and it was on purpose. Bad Daddy!

Anyone see a problem here?

YUCK!

I found this article on a blog I like to read. I shop religiously at 2nd hand places for Luke and Mallory. (Sorry kids!!! You grow toooooo fast.) So I was shocked to learn that as of Feb. 10th no more 2nd hand selling!!!!

http://babycheapskate.blogspot.com/2009/01/govt-says-sorry-no-more-reselling-your.html

I learned about it a few days ago and since then, is seems that people are raising a ruckus. I'm hoping that the gov't decides to make some changes. There's a link to write your representatives, so please do.

Christmas Break is Over :(

Our Christmas break has been a lot of fun. We both go back to work on Monday. It will be good to be back in our routine again, but we'll miss spending all day with Luke and Mallory. Here are some pictures from our break.

That's a flashlight on Luke's head.

Luke had walking pneumonia over break. He is getting a breathing treatment while Rocky is watching.
Luke and his Uncle Kyle lounging.

ChooChoo!!

Luke had fun playing with Grandpa Amos' trains. He must have started and stopped this one a hundred times. This is Grandpa's train building.

This picture gives you an idea of how tall the train track is.

MRI

Mallory had an MRI of her heart on 12/31. Her blood pressure had been high during one of her checkups, so they wanted to give things a closer look. She had to be sedated for the MRI. The doctor called her stubborn and spunky as he sent the nurse back to up her sedation medicine 4 times. She finally fell asleep after a 10 minute fight, but proceeded to move 1/2 way through the MRI and then she woke up crying right before it ended. They did get some good pictures of her heart though. We will hear from a doctor in a few weeks with the results. She wore her heart outfit to the hospital.
She was not a happy camper after she had her IVs put in. She had to get a rather big IV, so they had a PICU nurse come and put them in. She got both in on the first try.

She was a trooper through it all!!

Christmas Eve

Luke left some cookies for Santa. This was the only picture I could get with the hat on Mallory. Almost as soon as it goes on her head, she rips it off.

Christmas Morning

Here are some pictures from Christmas morning. Luke liked opening his gifts. He wanted to keep opening everything! When all his gifts were open he said..."Where my presents go?"

After Christmas, Luke's football collection is up to 10. Most nights he has all 10 in bed with him.
