Play Ball

We have had two days with little or no rain, so we were able to get some T-ball in. It was a little muddy, the grass was high, and the sun was in our eyes, but it was worth it! Luke's first t-ball game...he hit the ball, ran the bases, and even made some unassisted outs!! Not bad! He loves it and pretty well smiles the entire time. I asked him his favorite part of tonight's game and he said all of it. He then said he didn't like it when he got to 1st base and then had to come in (his team had reached the 6 run limit, so everyone had to come in). If he could wear his super cool uniform everyday, he would. He has another game tomorrow and he asked if it had to be washed? He said it didn't get too dirty.

The most important part of the game...getting the snack. :)

Superman's Kryptonite

Luke woke up this morning with a fever. He is a trooper and didn't complain at all. We probably wouldn't have known if Craig didn't kiss him on the forehead. He has 2 more ear infections (we just got over an ear infection about 2 weeks ago...yuck). Luke just got new Superman pajamas (with an awesome cape) so he has enjoyed wearing them all day today while he has been lounging on the couch. My favorite line from today is when he said, "Mom, even Superman gets sick sometimes, right?" Then he asked what kind of doctor Superman has? He's laying on the cape, but it's awesome, trust me.

No kryptonite for my little Luke.

:)

We haven't been very blog active lately, but we wanted to let everyone know we are still cute as ever!
Love,
Luke and Mallory

Tadaaaa

Tadaaaaaaaaaaa!! It's finally done. Is it done correctly?... No, but it's done. After two weeks of having no bathroom (thanks Uncle Jim &Aunt Elaine for letting us shower at your place) it's finally done. It turned out to be a disaster! The contractor we hired didn't perform up to our expectations, but we do have some new walls and lights. You live and you learn. We learned that you have to do way more research when you hire someone, but we're staying positive. On to the next project, the front porch. We have hired the best contractor around for that one. He's the same guy that gave our house an awesome face lift on the outside, Darrell Shafer. He's pretty expensive though, but totally worth it.

Happy 3/4th Mallory

Our little girl turned 3/4 this week. She didn't have an actual birthday this year, so we had a weekend celebration. Saturday, she enjoyed an afternoon at Chuck E. Cheese with some of her cousins, Sunday, she ate a lot of macaroni and cheese at Ponderosa with family, and Monday night she indulged in Dora Cupcakes with Luke. February 29, 2008

Bathroom Remodel

We have lived with the white rose patterned paneling for 9 years now. Don't get me wrong...it was a rockin' bathroom in the late 80's and it has served its purpose. We were all able to shower, brush teeth, get ready, etc. etc. etc. everyday with minimal problems. But now, it's time to go!!!!!!!!!!!! We are very excited to be doing a small, yet messy bathroom upgrade. Before

Hopefully the end is in sight. Maybe next week sometime...I hope. I can't stand the layer of dust that is over everything in our house.

Kalahari

We were lucky enough to take a mid winter break this weekend and visit Kalahari. It was a GREAT time. I was able to attend a teaching conference there from Wednesday to Friday (and yes....I did learn a lot of great teaching stuff, I just didn't play on the water slides!) Craig and the kids met me there Friday night and we played Friday and Saturday. It was a lot of fun and I think we might make it a yearly tradition. We thought Luke and Mallory might be timid, but they did great. They didn't ride the huge slides, obviously, but they ate up the kiddie slides.
It's so great...Mallory doesn't even know she's not playing. That's how we conserve money in these tough economical times.
